Helping families stay in the journey

Families play a critical role in a child’s recovery. Ronald McDonald House helps improve health outcomes by allowing families to stay close and involved in their child’s care. Each year, we provide nearly 50,000 nights of free accommodation to families.

Our Houses give families a place to stay with the comforts of home, just steps away from the hospital. There are 4 Houses located in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

Ronald McDonald House Whānau Rooms

Our Whānau Rooms are located within hospitals and offer a calm, home-like space away from the clinical environment. There are Whānau Rooms in Auckland, Christchurch, and Invercargill.

Located in Rotorua, our Whānau Retreat offers families a week of free holiday accommodation following the impact of serious or long-term illness, or after the loss of a child.
